Penang Bridge International Marathon(PBIM), Penang Bridge 21/11/2010

PBIM is an annual event in Penang that most of the runners or Penangites know..

This was d 2nd time i took part in this PBIM. I took part in 10k marathon, rm35 or rm40. last year i tried on d fun run, RM10 or RM15 after d discount period..

i took part in this marathon.. erm.. yea, i did!!! y ah? well, basically just to... or some opportunity to:

1)just have fun (fun or suffer? muscles a lil pain, knee super pain, sun burn, shoes worn out = buy new shoe = no money = T.T)
2) spend money(wa... very rich la now?),
3) support penang event(there are bunch more of free events in penang la c'mon),
4) finish d quat marathon in 1.5 hours (no training, just try my best oni lo..)
5) to get d finisher medal (they said medals oni given to 1.5 hours finishers, but ended up dey distribute to every finisher... luckily i able to gasp for some breaths in my run jiek..)
6) try my luck, see if i can gt any of d lucky draws (c'mon la, out of 24k ppl, oni 16 were selected.. gt so lucky meh?)
7) to train my stamina n my body (in a wrong method)
8) to add more stress for myself (cause craving for finisher medal)

so many changes have been made in dis year's marathon..dis time, food oni given to full marathon runners, ref numbers are being announced in lucky draw rather than bib numbers, shirt's colors.. hehe...

what i don like, was d lucky draw lo... for me, it was kinda unfair lo, dey will contact d last (d 3rd) person being drawn to gif d prize away.. then hw abt those who waited there? waited for so long listened to XXXX crapping there, gt sun burn there in d wet body, knowing may gt d chance of catching cold, while those getting d prize already sleeping nicely at home.. then how about d 1st n 2nd person that being called? also gt luck wut.. but y dey don deserved d prize? just unfair la... shud have draw till calling someone over there one ma... hmph!!

nyway, i m happy that i able to finish it in cun cun 1.5 hours.. although i dn understand d results, saying i finished d marathon in official 1:20:33.. next target 21km if i go for proper training n oso try on full marathon if really possible.. haha.... XD

i shud have bought my power gel at d booth(rm6.00) b4 marathon, because its slightly cheaper.. i bought it in pharmacy, rm6.50. luckily 10k run oni need a packet. there are so many new flavors coming out d, i bought d one with 2xcafeine tangerine flavor. i rmbr, 6 yrs back, power gel oni sold at rm5... what a world.

those who like new balance, shud buy d shoe at d booth or use d 30% discount voucher in d race pack/goodies bag(layman term).

Pasar Malam, Farlim --> 有流动的pasar malam，就有流动的乞

今天妈咪不在家，所以没什么东西吃。。 想去吃我平时爱去的吃的猪肠粉，去到却发现原来那里有夜市！！hmm。。。 来了就来了嘛，就去走走看看嘞。那档口反正没开。

我不是夜市爱好者，所以去过的夜市，也不多。一只手的手指头都措措有余了。。connaught 星期三最长 pasar malam， thien teik 星期三 pasar malam，韩江对面星期四的食物为主的pasar malam，和这个咯，farlim pasar malam。。还有吗？ 应该没了吧，有也没什么印象了。

这里的pasar malam，没什么特别，吃的不多，asam laksa、珍珠奶茶、蛋糕面包、apom balik、么都有、甘蔗水等，不多。其余的都是穿的，用的。。

我平时都不在夜市场买衣服，我只是走马看花，找吃的为多。。我却无意间发现，这里的夜市场很可爱，可能他们target的消费者，应该都是上了年龄的吧？那衣服档口的，十之八九都是买30-40 左右的衣服，看了都没胃口。。即使是卖年轻些的，也是有点 “澳” （out）的。。

最引起我的目光的是一辆买衣服的 van 仔。。平时看见的衣服档口，都是普通挂得满满的，收档时，要一件件衣服收起来，在收起架子的档口。平时看见的 van 仔，都是卖吃的，么都有之类的。。可这一档，却是以 van 仔来卖衣“胡”哦。。口爱！普遍吗？可能我没见识，没看过。。

最叫人心酸的是， 有流动的pasar malam，就有流动的乞丐。。这里的乞丐，都不是我们平时看了就想打发的那种，有手有脚有眼睛，却要伸手向人们要钱的那种。而是，不是没有双脚，就没有双手的。。

让我心里涌出一阵酸味的一幕，是一位妇女把一张RM1 纸币放在一个坐在地上，没有双手的中年男人的包包里。黝黑的皮肤、脏乱的头发、破旧的衣服、没了半截的双手在空中胡乱地挥动着，他只能露出一瞥无邪的笑容，不断地向那妇女点头鞠躬答谢。

可能他们已经是某些“企业家”的工具，可以在某些地方看到他们挽食，可能我们会憎恨那些利用他们来赚钱的家伙而不想给予零钱，可是再想，如果他们赚不到钱，今晚收工后，又会有什么不堪一想的后果吗？还是不想为妙。。感叹。。

hmm.... 其实闲着没事逛逛下夜市，是个不错的运动和娱乐，也可让脑袋转动下，除了一身汗，再写写部落格，轻松一下。。 哈哈哈。。。

Some words of advice

Well, saw a fren's fren's blog, has a lil problem with daddy.. i wrote this as comment for him, i hope he wont mind if i pasted here in my own blog. but this is just my personal feelings..

Here it goes:

well... as a hot tempered person, i do believe temper is something that is very hard to control. or perhaps, its something that cant control at times. (cos we r still young nyway)its just like a drunk person, wont realize he is drunk.

but when u wake up, try to think back what have happened. does it help? does a counter attack help u? any benefits of fighting back? winning him in words gets u anything? u rather win him by words n losing d LOVE n d BOND between u n him? when u win(gain) something, u will lose something.

my theorem of life, "People come and go". they will only leave prints in our heart. we have no choice to be born to this world, but we have d options for our days. "Live life with no regrets", u will nvr know what will happen in next second.

moving out is a good option if u wanna be independent. but it wont help u in any other things perhaps. spending rental? far from ur loved one? staying with strangers? eating hawker food? spending all d time alone?

Try to be in his shoe, dis is d best way when u r in conflict. Does he wanna fight his son? Does he have a good sleep on d night he fight with u? how his wife will feel seeing both her beloved son n husband fighting?

i yearn to go home, but i have to stay here until everything is done. i too wanna earn big money later outside dis nation, but i promise myself i will stay at home for my folks, unless they willing to move along with me. cos i dono hw much time i have for them, i dono how much time they willing to spend with me sumore. maybe im slightly -ve thinking.

Clock keeps ticking, people keep changing. What u r thinking now, may not be what u actually wan d next moment. What he shout at u now, doesnt mean he still mean it at d next moment. some people just act faster than their minds.

There wont be a normal parent on earth wan any tragedy to happen to their children. unless....? think wisely..(=

Tao (KL Branch), Sunway Giza

Here is Tao, after so long eating, now oni blog it.. erm.. cant really rmbr d name of d food d luu.. but still rmbr what were d food and hw dey taste like.. no worries... haha...
I forgot the original price.. but since we reached there b4 even the shop is opened, so, we had an early bird discount, RM 52.20++/pax excluding 10+5% charges. d early bird discount u can get it b4 6pm? or 6.30pm?, i cant remember.
one thing abt Tao, is they will count the time. u only have 1.5 hours?(or at most 2) to fulfill ur lust or hunger.

Da menu.. the food choices are not as many as Jogoya, not as few as Kikyo, but they are all quite nice i would say, except d unagi. haha....

Food? what food is this? nah, not yet.. scroll down for food, dis is just the lighting there..

Well, I believe many people dont take fresh oysters, yea? cos many among my frens don take.. i dono y.. but me n my family like oysters alot.. weird.. the fresh oysters there are fresh, but oni if u take them fresh.. take it while u reach there.. don wait until last minute or what. maybe d aircond already dried out the moist? or something? or maybe its ur luck to pick d fresh one? i took twice, d first time ones was better than 2nd one. pick wisely.

Da Prawns.. i believe them are not sashimi, u know y? because they are red!! yo! i din try this out, cos im a lazy bum, i kinda lazy to pick out d shell bit by bit..

my favorite caviar sushi. nothing special, as usual, just caviar n "sushi" it up.. =p

Sushi time! d left one i blif was some sashimi top with caviar, as i din try out. d right one was d egg sushi. d fried egg looks so compact, rite?

wuu... so orange n so eye sore, rite? the lighting there were not balance la, kinda hard to shoot.. but still can recognise dis fela? they are the SALMON sushi~~

The sweetened cashew nuts.. dey are served in a bowl as seen, not piece by piece one, yea?

What else dey can be? Shashimi! start from 1)salmon, 2)red snappers + ?, 3)red tuna, 4)octopus, squid, scallops(bokeh-blurred d), and some other seafood. All r quite normal, as usual, just sashimi, but i kinda regret to try out red snapper's sashimi. it isnt my taste of food, n its abit hard to chew. I would recommend the scallops(as shown in picture below).. i wonder hw dey were cooked, but they are definitely sweet n nice to chew n very very nice!! taste good n so good..

Here goes the teriyaki corner.. pick whatever u like, n u drop ur clips, hot teriyaki will serve right to ur table later.
ohh.. my lovely dovey.... my cute little crab cheesy pillow... inside are all CHEESE~~ its super dupper nice if u do love cheese, but one thing is, u will feel full after taking few pieces.. too bad, huh? this is really nice!

oh.. dis is my real time favorite oso.. i loved it since d first visit to Tao in Penang-- Cheese Baked Scallops. again, very full feelings after taking few pieces cos of d cheese. this cheese is different from the previous cheese, but i couldnt say their names..

Looks like? yea.. rite, its cheese baked salmon! its nice if u nt full.. lol

The garlic salmon. no lie, its really very very rich flavor of garlic, dn take d garlic pieces with d fish, or u will feel d bitterness of d garlic.

This is what i don like in Tao, their unagi must served with tofu and d gravy? soup? d watery feeling thingy, n everything taste so badly.. d taste of d preserved unagi has been gone, leaving there d tasteless unagi piece. d skin of d tofu, soaked in d soup, n fell off.. leaving the tasteless tofu.. n everything is just so ewwy.. its d first time i truly gave up on d unagi that i couldnt finish it.

The cawamushi, here abit different, cos its name is sharkfin cawamushi.. as per shown in photos, d transparent thingy, so called sharkfin.. well.. sharkfin.. its nt bad, quite nice i'd say. they had another layer of gravy on top.

Its a piece of salmon, wrapping a quail's egg n some caviar toppings. u may imagine d taste of it. not much special flavor on it.

erm... i kinda forgot what dish is this.. fish? chicken? squill? or what? erm.. js some sort of meat la.. XD

There are still some food, maybe missed out n forgot to shoot, but here comes my own dessert platter.. tarts, pudding, cake, puff, n mochi

Yea, choco fondue!! a small little fondue beside the ice cream corner.. not many choices for ice cream, n nothing grand or special abt ice cream, just ice cream, but u can hv dis fondue, just pick ur flavor of ice cream, tell that waiter, n he will do it for u..

n guess what, my fren, d betrayer Tee, after getting his, he stood there, finish his ice cream, n cut Q of another fren to get another one.. greedy, rite? really a betrayer, huh?
When the time is almost done, dey will tell u its last call, n when d time has reached, they will bring the bill to ur table..
i dono whether is it my fren too kan chiong or nvr pay "extra service charges".. aft we paid d bill, due to satisfaction, he wanted to pay "tipsi" to the waiter n waitress.. when she wanna gif us d customer copy of receipt, b4 even she put down d holder, he alr fast fast slot those RM1 notes into d holder. n d waitress sort of stunt n nga nga, "huh" she said. then i was there in front of him, so shame n dono what to do... just can stop him from being kan chiong.. swt... dis is d first time i see ppl pay "tipsi" like dis.. haha... what a big joke... nyway, just an extra reminder, 10% service charge is alr included, its up to u to pay extra tips, but rmbr, don pay like hw my fren did... or ur fren will dono what to do like hw i did....

Last but not least, dis is not soomething from Tao, but rather some other shop at sunway giza opposite Full House restaurant, just a cacat punya robot, lack of hand n gun oso cacat dah.
