Siam Express, Queensbay Mall

3rd day at work, went to lunch with bosses at queensbay. hehe~~

At first they planned to go to Oldtown, but then when we past by an empty restaurant, they suggested to go in, Siam Express.

The restaurant was empty when we went in, but when d time gt nearer to lunch time, more ppl came in.

The menu is an A3 sized laminated, double sided. I am not so interested in picking one by one, since the boss host, so, i just take a set lunch, which included a variety fried rice, a tomyam soup, and an iced lemon tea/peach tea. Rm16.90 for chicken set, 18.90 for seafood set.

I took a "Pineapple fried rice with prawn topping", while they ordered "Fried rice in Omelette" and "tomyam seafood", and an appetizer to share.

no pictures were taken. bt the food there are served in good-looking manner.

Appetizer was served with tomato+cucumber based and a flower, with all served with 2 pcs of fried chicken(i think is belacan), spring rolls, wantans and fish cakes. taste normal, good looking

Then there go our fried rice. The servings were kinda fast, around 5 minutes, we got all our food served. The rice was served with 3 prawns topping, a kerabu mangoo, a fish cake and a dip of thai chili sauce.

As usual, pineapple fried rice is kinda gingerish with d ginger powder. well, kinda yellowish. Quite heavy taste compared to fried rice in omelette(something like pattaya). but i think the taste of pineapple havent really mixed with d rice yet. d kerabu mangoo is also usual with dried prawn, but dont have cashews. basically nothing much special about d kerabu.

and my fren's tomyam seafood, can pick either clear of thick, he has choosen clear. d color is not red, but gt tomyam taste, no worries. with prawns, a piece of clamp n some fish i guess. served with white rice.

for me, d pineapple fried rice is tastier than fried rice in omelette if heavy taste is preffered. fried rice in omelette is just normal fried rice.

The total bill cost Rm101.x0 including taxes.
