21st Century Cafe, Mewah Club, Kajang

well, it's my birthday again. 20th birthday. the nicest birthday eva so far.

I was there in 21st Century Cafe, at Mewah Club there. Well, ok, let's c. i've ordered an iced honey milk, and a mixed seafood grill. d iced honey milk isnt really taste nice for me. because d milk isnt thick enuf that u cant feel that kinda satisfaction when d milk ran through d tongue into d throat, and u know, well, it's nt a genuine honey, but normal supermarket honey and d smell of honey is too strong.

Well, for d grill, it's served with a baked potato, salad, boiled corn(or maybe steamed, jus nt a grill one),half piece of toast, a prawn, half chunk of salmon, quarter of big squid, two green mussels, a funny lil crab. well, if i would to rate it. it will gt abt 30-40% only, which is thank God i can still eat. let's c hw's dis happen.

d whole dish is only rely on d aroma of fried garlic. so does d potato. it's jus being wrapped in an aluminium foil n baked. no seasoning, no salt, ntg. aft it's done, dey jus simply cut n top with fried garlic n d garlic oil. which make d potato so tasteless n dey r jus humiliating potatoes.
well, d salad is normal, cut vege, tomato n thousand island sauce.
Corn, d corn. wouldnt it be nice if it's grilled oso? n it's slightly overcooked.
half pc of toast, it's buttered,n too much buttered. nt too crunchy, bt a bit oily.
prawn, d head n body has been cut into half, bt nt d tail n grill. it's nt a king prawn, jus a queen one? hehe.. so, d taste n juice of d prawn cannot really be tasted. it's alr so small, bt still it's been cut into half.
oh God, here comes d half chunk of salmon. it's jus half chunk n it makes u lost apetite seeing that. well, aft having it, i know y dey serve salmon in sashimi. here, u will be having salmon, that makes u blif tat u r chewing beef or chicken rather than salmon. c'mon, dis is seafood, salmon, fish la wei.. it's so so so overcooked, until it's too dried up n no more juicy feeling in d meat. well, dis one would gt a -50%.
d squid, ok, well, dis is d most satisfying of d course. it's well cooked, bt still d side there is a bit overdone, chewy. n it's nicer to be served with lemon juice.
green mussels, jus normal n a bit overdone as well.
crab, no, is crab shell. it's funny. it's a small crab shell, with crab ball inside. well, u can purchase those crab ball in any supermarket's freezin department. n it's too hard. dn eat if u r putting braces like me..

my fren ordered a cowboy fish special combination. there is mushroom, prawn, egg, n oso much more overdone squid, salmon, n pasta with black pepper sauce in sizzling. when spaghetti is overcooked, it has became noodle. n if u think that u r eating spaghetti, it's annoying, so imagine u r eatin noodle, den u'll feel better. d sauce aint special too. jus packagin black pepper sauce. n d space isnt really well planned. d egg has took up too much space, which u can c d egg too widely spreaded n d pasta is too little. too little for a guy.

we did order escargots too as apetizer. half dozen, 10+. dey r naked!! haha.. garlic paste full of cheese toppin. i think dis is d best one among 3 of d dishes tat we've ordered. bt wouldnt it be nicer if it's served in their shells? ya, bt u will need a snail tong n fork. depends on which one preferable. d plate of escargot is jus a small n shallow one. so, it looks good with d toppings.

well, d environment is nt bad, with d 90s old songs that i like n d night scene of partial kajang area. bt well, half way enjoying d songs or d view, u'll hear d steward pushing d trolley passes by. dey r to gt those used dinin utensil of outside customers. imagine that, u wont like it, rite?
i think most of d chairs there r spoilt. at least i can c out of 3 of my tables, 2 alr spoilt, another hardly survive. so, make sure u weigh urself, or write ur will b4 goin. hahaha..

Pasta Zanmai, One Utama

Erm, well.. it was few months back when i first went to Pasta Zanmai. it has quite well impressed me. Not long later aft i've been to d one at One U, there is another branch started business in Mid V. when i past by last month, it's full house! with d wait staffs busy until noone'll bother u even u stand outside there looking at d menu. haha..

Back there, I had a half-broiled salmon pasta. n blif it onot, it's really very half-broiled. one side is totally cooked, and another side is totally undone. with a lil bit of sesame topping, n some vege.

D bowl is kinda big, bt d pasta is nt as much as d big bowl can fit. n erm well, i would say, d pasta although is kinda nice, al dante with enuf gravy, bt d serving's slightly too much if there is too lil salmon, or maybe eating with braces on is a bit challenging. haha.. but if u r hungry enuf, den shud be okizay, u wont notice d amount of salmon. i can sat it quite worths d price, 22++ if im not mistaken. one thing is that d salmon is too little. jus 5 or 6 pieces ONLY. u cant really fulfill ur palate if u r a salmon lover. and that time when i was eating, d fish a bit stink, bt nt too much, still eatable, bt my apetite was being affected, maybe because im slightly sensitive to stink seafood.

while my fren ordered a bla bla chicken pasta, which i forget d name d. but it's as shown in picture, fried chicken with pasta. it comes with lemon n miso. if u love lemon, den jus squeeze it. if nt, it's another kinda feelings indeed. but for dis one, it's a bit dry. no gravy in pasta.

well, dis restaurant is meant for japanese food + pasta lovers. well, nowadays r full of mix n match. n we gt a voucher of RM5 discount voucher when purchase a RM30 or plus shopping outside there at d store, Shojikiya.

well, d environment is nt bad. if u love to see chef cooking, then u've come to d right place. u can see hw dey cook ur meal if u pick a correct spot and angle. haha.. u can c hw dey blow up ur food, hw d executive chef emit that kinda imaginary pressure. n bla bla bla.. hehe..

Kinsahi Japanese Restaurant, The Mines

I was so glad that i get to celebrate my belated birthday in Kinsahi Japanese Restaurant.

Seriously, d food there isnt really cheap, if compared to sushi kin or Ichiban ramen. but for japanese food and food lovers, it's consider worthy d.

I tried the Fancy Trap, which is one of their specialities,19.90++ if i would to rate it, i think it will get abt 80-85%,maybe.. It's as shown in pciture, rice, with salad topping. in d salad, there r well cut cubes of salmon, japanese omelette, cod, octopus, japanese cucumber mixed up with caviar, western mayo n japanese mayo. further more on top is 4 small pieces of unagi with caviar again. really small one. one set will be enough for a girl. and luckily, d seafood is fresh.(i dono hw fresh, as i dono hw to measure. but it doesnt stink)

while my fren ordered a bento. which i would say not bad. it's quite normal, but slightly better than bento in sushi kin.*evil grin*. n there r more varieties. it's a fried salmon bento. n it's coming with some pickles, bb octopus, miso, rice, vege n guava.which cost 21+.

i gt a cup of hot green tea(free flow), RM1.00++, (cold one 1.50++) and my fren gt an iced lemon tea. for me, d iced lemon tea is a bit too sweet d. bt it's very thick and satisfying taste. with the lime(they r using green lime,nt those yellow lemons like we usually drink) and beat with tea.

one thing abt d food is, dey r well served exactly d same like d photos u see in d menu. well, u know..it's customers' right not to gt cheat by photos, rite? haha..

besides d food, i'd like to comment abt d environment and d furniture inside there. the lightings, furniture, decorations and even d wall r quite well designed. which i think i like them. u can choose any seats that suit ur mood (if d restaurant isnt packed).

i hope i can still try out some other dishes next time. but i must make sure my purse can afford it. hehe..
