My Trail Marathon
Trail Marathon is really very interesting n challenging, every part of it can be so directly related to life!

Wear d right shoe, i wore d wrong shoe for it, so it became tougher for me. life, d right thing for d right incident, with d right person, at d right time...look to left too sometimes..
D road is never same, got little bit inclined, some part flat, some parts rocky, some part smooth..
life, sometimes lucky, sometimes rocky..
kick on few stones n have to keep going, or u will never reach d finishing line..
1 way, there's no turning back, u can wait, u can walk back, but after all d finishing line is only there..
Some ppl run, some ppl slumber; some carry weight, some carry power bar; some fall down, some take photos n enjoy d trail, some speeding just to reach fast... life, differ, everybody is living for different beliefs n purpose..
Medic, not everywhere u can find them, but when u meet them, they will try their best to help u thru.. life, cherish ppl who help u thru d hardship! Thank d medic who helped me with my bandage..
Some ppl dry dry, some ppl sweat until like raining.. life, everybody reacts to same incidents differently very much depends on their experiences n themselves~
after d Marathon, some rush back, some group photo, some selfie, some look for goodies.. life, when reach d first goal, it's time to look for next one..

To be which?
Well, life is full of comparison, it's very unavoidable.. isn't it?
To be which sounds awkward, what do I mean by to be which?
My question is, "to be first in d lasts, or last in d firsts?"
I start of this passage with life is full of comparison, a lot of us striving to be number one. Or I would say, part of d top among d crowds.
Only with this number one, we r able to grant ourselves a passport to a lot of doors of opportunities. Career opportunity, status, citizenship, residency, n relationship also maybe? Much depends on what kinda passport u holding then in this case..
There's also a saying, in order for one to improve, he has got to mix with d ppl better than him. Or in another way, mix with who u wanna be.
Because of this trait, I have a doubt in my head as I'm just a moderate person. should I be in d last in d top batches, or should I be d first in d last?
Why I have this doubt because I don't stationary in one place, I'm striving to be number one, at d same time I get bored fast.. so I am one who keeps moving n migrating from time to time n now it's time to look for a new place to move.
Frankly speaking I ain't that bad when I'm in those worse one, maybe a bit proud, but I'm glad to say that. Not that I'm born smarter or as clever as Einstein, but I'm able to learn fast, as long as I like what I do. So d effort to be d first may not be that hard.
But when I go to d elite group, then I find myself not so competent to be one of d tops n may get eliminated easily. But no doubt, I will be able to learn more..
Somehow I don't mind being d last in d elite, ultimately I just seek for more improvement n gonna continue jumping around after I get bored. But because of d yearn to be d top, I find myself quite stressful to compete with them. n may even get depressed n want to give up.
Sometimes ago I talked to my friend, he said he would rather be d first in d last, because d stress level would be totally different. I would say I quite agree with that point too. But there will be no improvement in this case.
So, should I continue to look for d elite group to be eliminated? Or should I look for d dregs to be d first?

A guide to find a room
Well, I am someone who likes to stay within my comfort zone n try to save troubles n balance between money n convenience.. I wouldn't say I'm a perfectionist, but I can frankly say that I have OCD.
As a foreigner to work in a foreign country, finding a good room for myself is essential. I'm not writing to discriminate or what, but just a guideline for myself if happen to meet some problems again..
This is d list of criteria that I would take into consideration:
1) children below 12 years old
2) pets
3) window facing direction
4) smokers or religions thingy that produce odor
5) landlord hobby, if watch tv, where is d tv n until what time
6) near main road or train track? D noise n d dust
7) use of wifi, washing machine, fridge, n kitchen for water n light cooking
8) room size n furniture n layout, with any beam
9) landlord behavior n attitude n flexibility n education level n background
10) cleanliness
11) other tenants
12) room privacy, corridor room, sound prove or louvre
13) housing area environment n ppl who hang around there
14) near to train station
15) drying area for clothing privacy
16) air circulation
I'm currently staying in 895A woodlands drive 5zero, level 9 corner house, got air con, but room facing west..my windows have to always be covered with cardboard or laundry.. afternoon no sleeping, or would wake up in a puddle of sweat.. everything inside d room would get spoiled or dried up due to long exposure under d sun..
Another thing is children..d children will auto be alarm 7am particularly during weekends when u thought u can a bit longer..they laugh, they play still OK..Although also very noisy.. but when d girl cries, she can't stop... I will feel like slap her every time she cry... n d mom would yell n scold d children...
so if u happen to look for a room at 895A woodlands drive 5zero, level 9 corner unit, a local Chinese couple with a boy n a younger daughter... then u know u r in d room that I'm mentioning.. good luck..
Another thing quite important.. cleanliness.. they clean occasionally, but d kids would make sure d place is always dirty..
no facing main road or even sub road, as d dust u can't imagine how they get in even all windows n door tightly shut.. n d noise when motor bike n buses pass by...u would feel like jump down..
Another thing is make sure d fridge u r allocated a slot...or u would realized ur food accidentally gone missing..
Then d landlord OK with renting out d room for u or not, or just money making.. d landlord would warn d tenant n ask to reduced electricity usage..but they on d lights fans, n went out few hours without anybody using.. Well... speechless...
D reason I moved out, was due to my tenancy being terminated..I admit it was my fault, I deeply apologized, due to I talked over d phone loudly until over 12am that I didn't realize it was so late.. so d guy landlord scolded me vulgar words, f my mother, n say this is his house, he can chase me out anytime.. of course, after that incident, I start looking for room d..
next day I was depressed, so I went out chit chat n dinner n supper with friends.. when I went back it was late, n I saw there's one more bicycle lock added with d door that without doubting, I do not have d key... I was panic..I dunno how..if I call or d knock d door n wake them up, they would f me one more time..
So I waited..I thought wait until next morning.. someone sure will open d door.. but until 430am..I find I shouldn't wait anymore.. my phone battery is draining d also.. so I Google d nearest police station, it was at least 2.5km away n I walked there, very very chilly in d middle of d night with shorts n slipper..
I reached there, but d duty officer was not willing to help. He said what do I want them to help? They can't do anything unless d landlord refused to pay d deposit.. so I collapsed.. I almost cry out..he asked me to call my landlord, but nobody picked up.. then later only he took my particular n offered to send someone over to help me..
I walked back n called him..n waited for 30min for another 2 officers to reach..so they knocked d door very loudly n woke d guy landlord.. they took my ic n landlord ic n contact number to do checking n jot down d copy..
Then of course, d landlord gave those bull shit excuses for adding extra lock.. but obviously..I'm not someone so easy to bully.. d day after next, d wife, a Malaysian, text me to terminate my tenancy, with d starting of msg "I am very very sorry for incident last night".. please la... don't say sorry over incident that u doing on purpose.. I feel very ewwy..
After that I able to find a room cheaper n no kids one!!! Not facing west also.. haven't move in, but at least I know I won't be facing same problems again.. problems that come should be new challenges for me...
It was my fault that I decided to bear d unhappiness because I thought I'm a foreigner.. d kids r super duper noisy.. n facing west with d dust..OMG..can die.. I have paid too much extra... no more careless mistake anymore...

。感恩!

My review about Mi Band as One of Pioneer Users
First, lemme introduce myself. I got Mi Band sorta quite pioneer batch in Singapore, much before it was launched in Singapore on 29th of Nov 2014. I am using a Samsung Note 4 as of right now.
My official date of start using 1st of Dec, but I skipped some weekends when I lazying at home. This is my first band, or would say, first pedometer that I have. Therefore I do not have any benchmark to compare or experience about that. However my phone does have pedometer.
So I will walk thru some of my find outs and the older version of interface (install since my first use) in case you are considering of getting one.
First, let's start of with unboxing.
It came with a thin plastic cover that I already tore off, with a pen as benchmark of d box size.
Bottom part of the box. To me it is not a friendly box, because it does not have any place for you to hold the box, so it is harder to open compared to if it has some place to hold. So I shook it off.
The first sight after open up the box.
Things that you can find in the box, band, the sensor, usb charger, use manual.
The size of the sensor as compare to a SD card.
The past report are all recorded in chart form.
Can compile the statistics into week chart using the + - sign at the bottom. Toggle between sleeping chart and sports chart with the moon button.
Can also compile them into month chart.
May share the report of anytime in the past, or compiled report via the few channels as shown at the bottom of the screen.
May also share the report of today, orange from chart page to share, blue from homepage to share or from menu button.
At the middle of the homepage, will see 2 dots, slide left or right to toggle between sleep and exercise mode. Sleep mode, I didn't use everyday, in fact from the details shown, do you think I would sleep for 13 hours? It is not too accurate, because I took off and left on my table, and I continue to wear it when I sleep at night, so it was reported as 13 hours of sleep, with the same case on 9th of Dec.
When the report is still "fresh", as in just last night, it will breakdown the time frame of deep and light sleep. Eg: 1-3am light sleep (light grey), 3-3.20am awake (orange color), 3.20-7am deep sleep (dark grey color), almost the same as shown below, but I do not know how to retrieve the report, or the reports are not kept that way? (same goes for exercise)
The darker or the bottom part is the deep sleep and top part with lighter color indicates light sleep or shallow sleep. This report makes more sense. Same thing, may share, or toggle between pages.
Click on "..." symbol in the first screen, will lead to a menu.

My devices is as shown below.
Battery life is shown, but as I mentioned, I start using on 1st Dec, that's the day I charged it fully also. so, precise battery was charged 23 days ago, not 76 days. I use it only day time, got "night light saving", that's why the battery still so much? hmm, not sure.
4 colors to be chosen for notification blinking lights. The color is just for reference, the exact color is brighter and lighter color.
Band Location.
Notification for incoming call. I tried it out, that only works when you turn on the bluetooth, and will not work when the bluetooth is off, or in another words, not in sync. Vibrate after the chosen seconds of not answering the call.
Have the options to choose up to 30 seconds.
Can choose to unpair, slide down further to see firmware version.
Alarm, you will have 3 alarms maximum. with "Early Bird Alarm" that wake u up 30 min before set alarm time, similar with "Smart Alarm" in Samsung phone. Have the option to repeat pattern of the alarms.
Alarms can only be set when the device is in sync. However it will still vibrate even after the bluetooth is off.
I am not too familiar with this alarm as I never use. It snoozes every 10 minutes, 5 vibration each time it "rings" silently. I have no idea how to get rid of the snooze tho.
In Profile page, with ID shown, and avg steps taken, total of days in use, total distance in km. All the fields are to be set.
You may vote for your favorite sports, that will be coming soon? not sure, never use.
Can also add your WeChat account.
My version of Mi Band app is 1.1.861 only.
I choose not to update the app in my phone, because the new version of app will need to access the location of the device.
Currently it already has access to: Device & app history, Identity, Photos/Media/Files, Wi-Fi connection information, Bluetooth connection information and Device ID & call information.
Users are welcomed to send feedback.
After introduce about the band, I would like to add in my feelings about it.
It states there is an unlocking system with Mi Band, first my phone is not Xiaomi one, second, I am not keen to find out about it. So, feel free to find out and share with the others?
Mi Band comes with a lot of color designs, so, it is sure can fit anyone from any color preference.
Personally I find it redundant, as my phone already has pedometer. I don't feel comfortable putting on something on my wrist when I sleep at night. There were nights I put on, and ended up wake up with a deep button marks on my wrist. It doesn't matter, but just not my preference.
I will put it on everyday day time to monitor my steps. It will vibrate twice with LEDs blinking when the goal is met. Sometimes I walk a little faster when I was in rush, then it would mark me as Running, instead of walking. Haha... So, just a matter of feeling of achievements.
There are many many many brands out there, like the few famous one, such as Phillips, Jawbone, Adidas, Samsung, Garmin and a lot more that works about the same or more features with of course, much higher price range. Everyone of them may use different sensor and different technologies. This Mi Band cost a user SGD19.90, which is way cheaper than any other brands out there. HOWEVER...... I see a lot of people that wearing the Mi band when I go out on the street. Didn't have that feeling before it was launched, but after it was launched, a lot more people start owning it and people start to notice about it, especially those consider buying will ask me about it...
So if the user is someone that those who doesn't like to wear the same clothes, or same things with others, may need to think twice before buying. Or those OCD type of people, would they consider buying? Hmm.. who knows? So I would say, think of what you expecting from Mi Band, then it will be more justified, to buy or not to buy.. hahaha...
Anyway, if you read up until this point. Thank you very much.
Seldom write any product review or intro. Hope this help in getting a bit more understanding about Mi Band. Sorry that I am not updating the app.

Must Bring Items Guidelines for Budget Backpacking
I am writing this to share my experience, and also as a checklist for myself the next time I am going for BUDGET backpacking trips.
Of course, we may say, need to bring clothes la, toiletries, medicine and etc that name it, but without a checklist, I would always miss out some items and only realize when I reach my destination or when I am in the middle of the sky.
This list may not suit everyone of us, but at least, these are the things that I thought would be useful to bring along on JUST ENOUGH basis, as my bag is only 40 litters, and travel with it most of the time.
I will start from the basics to the least important ones.
If you have extra inputs, feel free to comment below.
1) Cash and Credit Card -- A must have no matter where you go, unless......
- I believe in spend within limit is very important, so before I even plan for the trip, I would roughly plan and allocate a budget to be spent during that trip. I wouldn't betray my body just to get free trips like lately there's a very hot topic by netizens.
- Do a thorough research on the currencies, price of the food and items, accommodations, and set a budget before going, can save up a lot of money and time, can save on the currency exchange rates, or being "chopped" being a tourist. I have experience that just follow my friends on how much they going for currency exchange, and ended up overspent, or came back to change back my local currency and wasted a small sum of money.
- Bring small sum of own currency, or US Dollar if any, to be exchanged if really needed, but try to avoid changing a large sum of money in foreign countries, as they tend to con tourists, just be extra careful.
- Divide the money into small portions and only put them in wallet or purse that going to be used on that day, others, keep them in separate places. Never put all eggs in one basket, and bring it out everywhere. Try to use a travel money pouch if any.
- Activate the overseas usage of credit card, and make sure set the limit lower to prevent hard attack and big hassle if worse case, met a credit card fraud. Bank tend to charge very higher for foreign currency transaction or cash withdrawal, so try avoid that too.
Examples: Destination currency, own currency, credit card with overseas' activation and low limit, travel money pouch.
2) Photocopied IDs -- Either Passport or national ID or driving licence.
- Always have a few copies of photocopied IDs along, this can prevent bringing out own passport during accommodation check in or certain verification or registrations, or touch wood, still have an ID even the passport is lost or stolen.
- Try not to bring out passport in too crowded places or not so safe places.
3) Garments -- thin, light weight, durable, multipurpose and easy dry.
- No matter where we going, we wouldn't want to bring a big luggage that full of our clothes only. We are saving the weight and space for easy transit and for souvenirs, isn't it? So thin and light weight clothing would come in very handy. Bring less, and may try to get some local clothing to blend in their culture, so that not too stand out as a tourist.
- Durable and multipurpose. Be mindful that every country and every tourism spots has her beautiful culture and some with dress code, I ever saw a girl wearing a pair of hot pants and are not allowed to enter the tourism spot, so did the boyfriend who was with her, isn't it very disappointing? So, I would bring along a piece of wrap skirt/shawl (any weather country), that can work as a long skirt, a strapless dress, and even as a blanket, towel, headband, and face mask in dusty area when desperate. I have also got myself a hooded sun protective jacket from Uniqlo (bought it during summer season), which claimed to have UPF 40, and cost me about USD28 during offer period, that not only protect me from UV, also keep me cool and covered.
- Bring clothes that easily dry, no matter it was due to sweat or rain or for drying after washing, especially going to hot and humid countries. Be prepared to wash our own clothes, then we can cut down the amount of clothes that we bringing. A piece of jeans would already used up a big space and worse to bring it back wet all the way in our bag. If going to cold country, bring a light weight down jacket rather than fluffy ones, and keep them in compact/vacuum bag.
- I will also bring a cap along with me, as a shade, also nobody knows when I didn't comb my hair (joking).
Examples: (all weather) dry fit t-shirts, shorts, shawl/wrap, cap, sun protective jacket, disposable underwear, dry fit sports underwear, socks, (cold weather) down jacket, long pants/leggings.
4) Toiletries -- just enough, and disposable.
- Be mindful of liquid allowances on the plane, you would not want to bring extra and stopped by the custom and confiscated. Shampoo, toothpaste, and skin care is a must especially for girls, pack them in a zip lock bag to prevent spillage (flight's rule too). Try to replace shampoo with soap bar if possible, because not only soap can be used for bathing, it can be used to clean dirty clothes too, it can also prevent spillage and reduce the challenge of in flight liquid allowance.
Note: I am bringing these because as mentioned in title, I am going for a budget trip, not a hotel luxury trip, all these can skip to just skin care if I am going to a place where hotel would provide sufficient toiletries.
- The best way to bring the skin care products, is to get samples from the sales girl when purchasing your skin care products, they are all packed in 5-10ml which is very sufficient for 1-2 times usage and it will not spill during carriage. BUT, make sure the product is something you are familiar with and not something that will cause skin irritation to you.
Examples: Comb, soap, shampoo, skin care, toothpaste and toothbrush kit, facial wipe (different from wet wipes, as it is slightly oily to moist the skin).

My toiletries
5) Towel -- For personal hygiene also maybe to keep you warm
- There are a lot of passages out there, saying how dangerous is hotel towel and things like that, some of the hostel, they do provide towel too. But I would think twice before I use them on my own body. So a piece of light & fast drying microfiber travel towel (I bought a good quality one, about USD 8.00, I guess a bit overpriced?) is actually very good to bring along. The keyword is FAST DRYING, cause it will be very annoying when the towel is still wet and being kept in a bag and end up stink.
- Microfiber towel absorbency may not be as good as normal cotton towel, but the fast drying is really superb! A must have during travel, especially to humid countries.
- Besides drying the skin, it can be very useful to dry the clothes too. Lie the towel flat, lay the piece of garment to be dried on top, roll them up, and press (or massage) them. The video can be found in YouTube. It can also be used as small blanket or to keep you warm.
- If going to places that's hot, maybe can consider bringing handkerchief too.
Examples: Microfiber towel (or at least a medium sized cotton towel), handkerchief.
6) Lotions/Sunscreen -- to keep you moisture and stay young even after your trip.
- Our skins are very fragile and needed a lot of care. Make sure to bring along the samples or traveling kit or prepacked lotions and sunscreen along. No matter in plane (especially long-haul plane, it will be super dry in the plane), in air-con room, under the sun or wherever, make sure either of them is applied, everywhere of the body, especially those are not covered by clothes. Or will come back from the trip in different color or worse, in different age.
- Knowing that going to be in outdoor most of the time, it is better to travel with higher SPF and make sure keep applying after the stated amount of time.
Examples: Sample lotions or traveling kit, sun screen.
7) Supplement/Medicines -- even you are always healthy like a cow.
- Nobody would wanna go to a trip sick, or sleep in room for the whole day. So vitamins and supplement is a must everyday during/after breakfast, to keep us healthy throughout the entire trip.
- Medicines like paracetamol (a kinda multipurpose medicine for everybody) is good to have, this can help you during emergency, and to prevent buying fake medicines in foreign countries.
- Few packets of ORS (Oral Re-hydration Salt) would also be good to replenish our zinc and ions that we have lost in our sweat or touch wood, diarrhea. Self made would be good too. More info: ORT
- Plasters, few pieces, just in case minor cut or skin peeled due to too much walking. Best with waterproof ones. I usually get 3M one.
Examples: Paracetamol, ORS, Vitamin pills, effervescent multivitamin tablets (but will need a cup/bottle for the soluble tablets), plasters, any medicine/first aid that needed.

My every trip must have, Redoxon Vita Immune.
8) Maps & Contacts -- paper map or either GPS map would be great
- A simple one, or a detailed one, at least must have one, and know where is the location or which direction to head to. Some drivers would try to turn big round and act dunno and bring you to 20km away and come back, in fact, it's just a 2 blocks away distance. Not every airport would provide maps for every area, at most they will provide town/tourism spots ones.
- Jot down a few emergency contacts, or travel insurance panel hospital name & numbers. Get to know police station locations, hospitals, or embassy's contact number or at least someone that can reach out if touch wood, you are really in trouble, especially in a country where there is language barrier.
Examples: Maps (printout or bought from bookstore)/GPS map, emergency contact numbers.
9) Phone, Charger and Adapter -- the always being left out - charger
- They mustn't be a super luxury or high class one, but a phone is a MUST! And make sure it is an unlocked one, if not, get a very cheap one with B&W screen keypad phone at the airport when reach there. This is to call for help during emergency, and to call back home everyday to tell the loved ones that still safe and sound.
- Phone can work as a clock, alarm clock, calendar, and even note taking too!
- After getting the phone, charger is a must to feed the phone, check on the country's power point's voltage and frequency and get the correct adapter.
Examples: SIM unlocked phone (ref: SIM lock), phone charger/cable, universal travel adapter.
10) Camera -- keep as traveling journal, and keep as memories, and to show to the grandchildren
- Camera is a must for me for my every trip and everywhere I go. A 1kg DSLR or a compact camera, or at least an action camera is a must to go out with me, or else that trip would be a waste. It can partly help me in completing my travel journal. BUT, always be careful and stay alert with any gadgets no matter where we are going, and make sure bring them home safely, like my children.
- Bring an extra memory cards and battery if it is a medium term trip. I guess a lot of people would bring along a monopod for selfie too.
- Ever heard a friend bought a SanDisk memory card in a foreign country, with real SanDisk price, but after come back from the trip, the memory card cannot be loaded at all, disaster, right? So make sure you get a genuine and good one, try them out before heading for the trip!
Examples: DSLR camera, action camera, extra battery, memory card, monopod.

My camera set and memory card with spare battery
11) Slipper -- for in flight and accommodation usage
- I would bring my anti-slip slipper for my trip, a cheap and good one is perfect to travel along (I have one, Fipper, a fanciful Malaysian brand, about USD6, that I already use it for quite some time, and durable). It can be worn in flight to prevent blood clotting in the legs especially long-haul flight, in hostel/toilet, wet places (raining, or market or going for waterfall, etc).
- For some people they didn't even bother to bring back the slipper after the trip.
Examples: Slipper.

My old Fipper Classic
12) Water Container -- a hydration pack is superb to bring along!
- Always have a water container even before traveling, because water can be refilled after custom checking in the airport, refill to bring onto the flight to prevent choking while drinking the water bought in flight, a double or triple charged water, never drink the water in the plane washrooms.
- I have a hydration pack that I bought around USD 16 of the brand Hydrapak 3L. Other brands a little over my budget, and there are a lot good brands out there too, so, try research before getting one. I love it because its not only save space, easy to carry, can be slit into any bags of mine, and with the pipe, I am able to drink water anywhere without hassle, but be sure to keep clean. bought this partly because I can wash it without too many special tools too.
- Hydration pack is not necessary since it is a budget trip, just keep the water bottle after drinking the water is good enough to bring along too, and can dispose them anytime.
Examples: Water bottle, hydration pack.
![]() |
My super favorite Hydrapak 3L Hydration pack with pipe. Sorry, it is actually half invisible, therefore can still see thru the cloth pattern underneath
13) Backpack and Bag -- light and comfortable one to prevent back injuries.
- A good backpack is a must to travel as a backpacker, that's the reason the name is called as backpacker, not traveler or "luggager", right? I had research through few brands, and got myself an Osprey Talon 44, not a very good looking, but at least its a very comfortable and light one.
- Another must have item, I believe is a rain cover for the bag. Due to Osprey does not include rain cover in the sales, I might as well get a cheaper German brand one, Vaude, because rain cover, is just to protect from rain, not as important as the bag, true?
- Why I chose Osprey instead of other brands?
Pros:
- I would consider the weight. for the same capacity of bag, it is relatively lighter!
- I like backpack with flexibility, which include the strap adjustment, body rack removal, size adjustment (this bag does not have), etc. My bag has just enough of flexibility for me that I need.
- Comfortable and breathable. I am someone who sweat a lot and it would be very uncomfortable if my back is wet and the bag is so closely stick together. This bag provide quite a good air ventilation design.
- Weight distributions. This bag design is not bad (must wear properly) with the bag's weight distributed around the waist and shoulders.
- There is a small whistle at the front of the bag.
Cons:
- The compartments. My this bag only provide sufficient compartments and I would feel better if there is another divider inside the bag, but the shop keeper told me, 40L doesn't need any divider, it is small and compact enough. The waist compartment is relatively small compared to some other models too.
- The rain cover is not included with Osprey bag, and if were to buy Osprey rain cover, it will be very much over budget!
- The rubber of the body does not seem very durable, a little loose after back from my first trip.
Neutral:
- The budget, Osprey is just slightly higher priced than the other brand that I researched, but the weight has subdued the price.
- Size of 44 is just nice for a 1.6m Asian girl. Good for short to medium term trip, but not a longer term trip.

14) Travel insurance -- protect yourself and protect your loved ones.
- I am not someone who really support on insurance, but I will surely get a good travel insurance, just in case I need to be hospitalized or touch wood, anything happen to me, my family will still be able to get a sum of money, isn't it? So, it is good to have one.
- No only for myself, but if flight delay, baggage lost or delay, all are claimable. Just make sure get a good company one, and easy to claim one. Or else you will need to spend another sum of money to get heart attack medicine or HBP medicine. Remember, it is always easy to pay money, but always very hard to get back the money!
- Jot down the phone number, which they will sure provide, and bring along a copy of policy if it is not too heavy.
15) Miscellaneous -- other small things that may consider bringing along.
- Usually I will bring along a piece or two of plastic bags, and another zip lock bag to keep any wet products or things to be separate from my other items, such as dirty clothes and etc.
- A piece of disposable rain coat would come in handy, when it is drizzle, or can be used to wrap anything too.
- After some time of flying experience, it is really good to prepare my own inflatable pillow/rest in the budget airline. If not after the flight, would be more tired and neck cramp, especially few hours flight.
- Prepare a pen & paper, to jot down anything or writing journal, and also to fill in the immigration card, to save some time in the airport too.
- I will always bring along a chocolate bar. In case I could not find any food there, and really out of energy, I still have something to fill in the stomach.
- Face mask, is good especially to a country which the air quality is not as good, or will need to be outdoor most of the time.
- If going to a hot country, it is always a must to fight the heat, I will prepare sunglasses & contact lenses, a fan, foldable fan would be greater and mosquito repellent if needed.
- If going to cold country, perhaps small travel heat packs, ear cover, gloves, are good to have, very much depending on how cold and how much the personnel can sustain coldness.
Examples: Plastic bags, zip lock bags, disposable rain coat, inflatable rest, pen & paper, chocolate bar, lip balm, face mask, sunglasses, contact lens, foldable fan, mosquito repellent, (if cold weather) heat packs, ear cover, gloves.
Note: bear with me, as the pictures below was taken for my camping, Swiss knife is strictly not allowed on the plane.

Life's short, feel young again
Today, is Wesak Day, 2014. After lunch, was thinking to take a good nap, or to go temple and have some shootings... after drama, then finally decided to go temple, got myself bathed, checked on my camera, put on a pair of comfortable shoes, sunblock n depart to a temple that a local friend introduced.
After exit from the train station, happen to pass by a place where all the skateboarders gather. I only go out during weekends or ph, skateboarders are there every time i passed by, but today seems there was some kinda events there. Chosen a nice spot, and took few photos, before i proceed to d temple.
looking at those skateboarders, make me feel young again. altho, i must admit, i am quite young, but most of them are just teenagers, or even younger.
A bit blurry image, somehow I still decided to upload due to the words on the skateboard, and d guy behind that doing d wrong action... tits, not belly button, dude.. hahah...
Already brought to skateboarding field and environment, a soon to be skateboard star~
Life's like skateboarding, huh? U fall, u stand up, u fall, u keep trying, until you land on ur board again, with satisfaction...
Last but not least, happy Wesak Day. Peace.
